Lee Joon became the king of variety with just one appearance on a variety program.

He made issues with his wit on the February 22 broadcast of MBC’s Radio Star.

Lee Joon made his audience laugh by telling various stories about himself, such as the story of how he called his girlfriend 140 times because she wouldn’t pick up, and how his agency gives him kimchi fried rice to eat every morning.



His name rose to the tops of keyword search charts on various portal sites, and every word he said on the broadcast became a legendary quote. He was crowned the king of variety with just one talk show appearance.

Lee Joon’s agency is surprised at the sudden onset of popularity, but is thoroughly enjoying it. A rep from J.Tune Camp, Lee Joon’s agency, said, “Lee Joon has always been good with his words. It’s well known that he has great variety skills, too. But in interviews or broadcasts, he would never be able to show how much he’s capable of. This day, we’re guessing he loosened up and talked as if he was in a trance.”

Lee Joon is known as a character that doesn’t speak much in interviews or on broadcasts. Officials say, however, that once he loosens up, he’s so good with his words he’ll have you laughing your heart out.

The rep added, “We knew he was funny, but we didn’t know he would be this funny. Please look forward to how Lee Joon will do in the future.”

Lee Joon’s group MBLAQ will be wrapping up promotions for its single It’s War, and will soon start promoting its new single Run from early March.
